The closest house officially on my road and not in the neighborhood that has fiber is just on the other side of the entrance from me at 500 ft distance.

A fiber termination point across the street, but I am only offered 18 Meg bonded DSL. I have Comcast, but they seem to think 900 down/25 up is a good plan. My cloud backups are so slow. I'd take 300/300 in a heartbeat. So distance is NOT my issue. Any thoughts?
